Upcycled Greeting Card Making
Spend a winter afternoon with us sharing fun and fellowship while creating all occasion cards to take home with you. We are “upcycling” used greeting cards! Upcycling means that we reuse discarded objects or material (in this case cards) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original. You will use collected/donated card fronts and messages, disassemble them and create new embellished cards. Includes all supplies to make 6 cards with embellishments and envelopes.
About the Instructors: Two of our members, Sue Jankowski and Elaine Jingles, have been volunteering at Emmanuel Hospice for the past 4 years making greeting cards for the Hospice staff to give to their patients and to sell at their office. They enjoy making these cards and putting their creativity to work and would like to share this experience with you.
Pillow Talk - A Stamped Pillow Project
This fun project will have us learning how to use unique stamps and inks to make our own canvas pillow to take home! You will have several designs and ink colors to choose from. Included with this project: 20 x 20 off white canvas pillow cover, poly pillow insert, use of a stamp and ink and instruction. Each participant can design a pillow cover as simple or as involved as they like.
About the Instructors: The Honeysuckle Co. is located near the corner of Woodworth and Plainfield. This delightful store sells vintage items, homegoods, and gifts as well as hosting events and community classes. It is locally owned by Breann, Amy and Alyssa - a mom and her two daughters! They recently celebrated their one year anniversary in this location.
